The Arborland Education Center offers group instruction in chess, gymnastics, swimming, martial arts and tennis, as well as private lessons in swimming and tennis. All of these after school programs are year-round, meaning, they continue through Summer unless you withdraw your child (except Academic Chess and Swimming)Please contact the Education Center office (714) 871-3111 for more information, or availability and pricing of these after school programs.

Academic Chess

Besides learning the basic rules of chess, children are taught techniques that make use of their strategy and problem-solving skills, as well as improve their concentration. Academic Chess is offered during the school year in three sessions. Each session is eight weeks long, culminating in a class tournament. Ages 5 years and up.

Gymnastics is a great way to enhance your child’s dexterity and improve their motor skills. The class is open to both boys and girls for ages 4 years and up.


Swimming lessons

Instructors: Mr. Jacob Hosey, Ms. Samantha Carpenter, Ms. Marissa Siu

We have a beautiful indoor pool perfect for young children to get comfortable in the water, and learn different kinds of swim techniques. During the school year, swimming is held after regular school hours from 3:00-6:30 pm. In the summer, class time slots start as early as 9:00 am until closing. Ages 4 and up for group lessons; any child below 4 years needs to be in a semi-private or private lesson.

The instructor not only teaches the basics of the martial art, they also focus on anti-bullying and safety classes for children. Ages 4 years and up.


Tennis lessonsInstructor: Mr. Ian Liang

Tennis classes are held on our on-campus tennis court. The instructor provides group and private instruction. Ages 4 and up.
