 After twenty years of dedicated service for the toddler, preschool, kindergarten, and elementary children in the Orange County area, we feel deep satisfaction in knowing that we have touched so many lives in a positive way. Our alumni have continued to make us proud: achieving success in Junior High and High School, and going on to attend prestigious universities throughout the nation. We are always touched and delighted to see them participate enthusiastically at all alumni gatherings and Arborland celebrations. We sincerely believe that the secret to our enduring success is our commitment to Dr. Maria Montessori’s central philosophy that education is the preparation for life. We present education as a whole, not just as little pieces of different subjects split in isolation. Children who complete toddler, preschool, kindergarten, and elementary Montessori education – even childcare - with us take away a comprehensive picture of the world, the universe and their place in it. It is our mission to prepare responsible citizens, to nurture each individual child’s latent capabilities and to bring out the excellence in each child. Our private school and daycare offers academics coupled with solid character building, where responsibility and freedom go hand in hand. Children do not only learn all the fundamentals of the required national curriculum, but they are also encouraged to meet international standards and learn much more. Montessori education is not inhibited by grade level requirements, but dictated by the child’s own learning abilities and interests - which are roused by appealing to their imaginations and showing them there are no limits to learning. Each child is constantly motivated and challenged with exciting lessons, stories, and hands-on materials.
Every child - whether they are a toddler, in preschool, kindergarten, or elementary - is a unique individual and may have different learning styles, be it aural (listening), visual (seeing), spatial (moving among varied learning centers), or interactive (two or more people involved). Our Montessori method uses effective teaching strategies such as multisensory, scaffolding, active learning, prompt feedback, small group instruction and hands-on learning to meet the different needs of every child.
We strive to lay a foundation for each child enrolled in our Montessori school to become successful, well-rounded, academically well-informed, socially-confident, secure, and adaptable to this changing world. The character building we foster is designed to impress upon the child that human beings are custodians of this planet, with a duty to enhance and leave behind an improved peaceful world for future generations.
