Here at Arborland Montessori Private School, we believe in maximizing your child's potential by developing your child's thinking skills, teaching your child how to learn, sparking your child's interests, and providing your child with applied learning experiences. We welcome children ages 18 months through 6th grade. ...
We sincerely believe that the secret to our enduring success is our commitment to Dr. Maria Montessori’s central philosophy that education is the preparation for life. We present education as a whole, not just as little pieces of different subjects split in isolation. Children who complete toddler, preschool, kindergarten, and elementary Montessori education – even childcare - with us take away a comprehensive picture of the world, the universe and their place in it. It is our mission to prepare responsible citizens, to nurture each individual child’s latent capabilities and to bring out the excellence in each child. Our private school and daycare offers academics coupled with solid character building, where responsibility and freedom go hand in hand. ...
It is our belief that each child is a unique individual with his own special needs and background, and should be recognized as someone special. In order for the child to grow and learn he must first feel safe, accepted, and competent in an environment that is encouraging, nurturing, supportive and challenging.
Dr. Maria Montessori developed what she called the Prepared Environment which instills self discipline and allows the child to learn at his own speed, according to his own capacities and in a non-competitive atmosphere. "Never let children risk failure until they have a reasonable chance of success."
Arborland Montessori Children's Academy is directed toward the application of the highest standard and interpretation of the Montessori method through the techniques and philosophy developed by Dr. Maria Montessori.
As we celebrate Arborland’s 25th anniversary this year, my heart is filled with gratitude, pride and humility. There are so many people contributing to our success today; our ambassadors, who continually spread the good word about Arborland; our alumni, who are excellent role models for other young people; our parents, who whole-heartedly offer their support for the school; and most of all, our dedicated and hard-working faculty. We are very proud that the majority of our faculty has been with us for more than ten years - some have even been with us for more than twenty years! I have had the privilege of watching these young professionals form families, raise children, while still continuing their passion of educating children. So many parents have trusted Arborland for their children’s education, and so many teachers have devoted their career to Arborland. For all of this, I thank each one with deep sincerity.
