Study Hall

For parents’ convenience we have an after-school study hall program for elementary-aged students of Fern Drive, Fisler, Laguna Road, and Sunset Lane schools. The After-School Study Hall program provides fun and stimulating activities so that your children learn and socialize in a safe and nurturing environment. We work to help students have a positive approach to doing homework, develop their study skills, and maintain a good academic standing.

The after-school study hall and enrichment program includes homework assistance, silent reading, academic enrichment in Math and Language Arts, arts and crafts, organized sports activities, recreational activities and afternoon snacks. There is an option of signing up for the 3-, 4-, or 5-day program. A great way to maximize your child’s afternoon time is to sign them up for after-school programs provided by the Education Center.

Current tutoring hours are Monday – Friday, 3:30-6:00 pm. Each session is 30 minutes long.

We offer tutoring from K through 6th grade, prioritizing your child’s academic improvement early on to prepare them for the rest of their lives. Our tutors give one-on-one attention to your child in need of homework help, additional practice in phonics, reading comprehension, writing, math, science, and more.

Tutoring

Besides learning the basic rules of chess, children are taught techniques that make use of their strategy and problem-solving skills, as well as improve their concentration. Academic Chess is offered during the school year in eight-week sessions, culminating in a class tournament. Ages 6 years and up.

In this class, we will be exploring how to build and program robots that can walk, talk, think, and do so much more! By mixing LEGO elements, motors, sensors and the intelligent P-Brick with apps and programming software to bring LEGO creations to life, the MINDSTORMS robot kit inspires LEGO inventors of all ages to command their own buildable LEGO creatures, humanoid, snake and other intelligent LEGO inventions.

A note about Transportation

Students from Fisler are escorted by our teachers for a short walk to our Hughes campus. This service is only available for the Education Center located at our Hughes location. Arborland Bus currently does not provide transportation services for other schools.

Please take note that each of the schools above have different dismissal times, and that we may not be able to accommodate everyone due to traffic, travel time, etc. Please see the office for more details.

If your child is absent from school or has a change in schedule, please call and inform the office of the changes so that we know your child will not be going in class that day.
