Celebrating Academic Excellence: Arborland Shines at the 2025 Orange County Academic Pentathlon

Please join us in celebrating the remarkable achievements of our 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students in this year’s Orange County Academic Pentathlon Competition! Our students have once again demonstrated excellence, determination, and the true spirit of Arborland Montessori.

As a small but elite private Montessori school, we stand out not just for our results, but for our values. While most schools choose a select group from a pool of hundreds to compete, at Arborland, every student participates. That’s right—we believe that every child, when given the opportunity and the right support, can rise to the challenge. And year after year, our students prove this to be true.

This year’s academic achievement in the Pentathlon speaks volumes about the strength of our program:

• Our 6th Grade Team earned 1st Place in Division I Super Quiz and 2nd Place Overall Team Award in Orange County.

  
  
  
  

• Our combined 7th/8th Grade Team, which competed in the more advanced 8th Grade Division, won 4th Place in Division I Super Quiz and 4th Place Overall Team Award in Orange County.

  
  

  

  
  

We are recognized as a top elementary and junior high school for academic competition in Orange County!

None of this would be possible without our dedicated teachers—Ms. Simms, Mr. Smith, Ms. Park, Ms. Madeline, and Ms. Gershfeld—who devote their time, energy, and hearts to coaching our students beyond the classroom. And to our incredible parents, thank you for raising such curious, motivated, and resilient learners.

We are proud of our students—not just for the trophies, but for their perseverance, courage, and teamwork. The Academic Pentathlon is not just a competition; it’s a journey of growth, discovery, and self-confidence.
